Test Analyst
The Test Analyst is responsible for the design and implementation of one or more Test Scripts (and their associated test cases), which will be used to accomplish the testing of the Application. The Test Analyst may also be called upon to assist the Test Team Leader in the generation of the Test Plan documents. During the design of the Test Cases, the Test Analyst will need to analyse the Requirement Spec for the application to identify specific requirements that must be tested.
Test Manager
The Test Manager has the authority to administer the organisational aspects of the testing process on a day-to-day basis. The Test Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the individual testing projects produce the required test deliverables, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time, resources and costs.
Test Team Lead
The Test Team Leader has the authority to run a testing project. His or her responsibilities include tasking one or more Test Analysts and Testers, monitoring their progress against agreed-upon plans, setting up and maintaining the testing project filing system, and ensuring the generation of the test plan and test scripts
Tester
The tester is primarily responsible for the execution of the Test Scripts created by the Test Analyst and for the interpretation and documentation of the results of the Test Cases. During execution, the Tester is also responsible for filling in the Test Result Records to document the observed result. The tester is responsible for the set up and initialisation of the test environment, prior to testing.
