We have developed and released QaTraq Professional to a community of thousands of test teams and testers , who use the software, provide us with feedback and recommend enhancements.

As QaTraq Professional is based on Apache, Mysql and PHP you will need to be running these components before you install QaTraq Professional. We support both Apache and Microsoft IIS installations. To help with the installation of these components and QaTraq Professional we provide installation instructions for both approaches.

We support two main install platforms; Linux/Unix and Windows. For convenience we also provide a Run Time Environment Installer that will install all the required components (Apache, Mysql and Php) on a windows platform. You will find full install instructions for each of these platforms at the bottom of the page.

QaTraq Professional is primarily a LAMP (Linux, Apache, Mysql and Php) based product. Although developed and tested in this environment QaTraq Professional can, and has been, deployed in windows (with IIS or Apache) and Solaris based environments. Install guides for linux, windows and solaris are all available. To help with the installation of these components and QaTraq Professional we provide comprehensive installation instructions for both approaches

QaTraq Professional with windows Installer and full Run Time Environment

This version of QaTraq Professional comes with an easy to use installer and the full Apache, Php, Mysql stack needed to run QaTraq Professional. Once the installer has completed QaTraq will automatically start up in Internet Explorer (meaning you need not worry about installing and configuring Apache, Php, Mysql or QaTraq).

The only system requirements needed to proceed with this QaTraq Professional package are a Windows OS (2003, XP or Vista) and an Internet Explorer browser (IE6 or IE7).

Once you have run though the installer QaTraq automatically opens in Internet Explorer leaving you to just log in with the user name 'admin' and the password 'admin'.

Apache/IIS, MySql and Php web software stack required as a prerequisite. Please see install instructions for more information.
